2022 July

A first this year. I bred two mares at home with the help of our vet Dr. Addie Felten. .Icat stayed the first breeding to In Like Flynn and Madeline took a second shipment but is in foal to Ten Thirty the NRHA 2021 Futurity Champion. Decided to breed the mares a little differently this time. They both should have pretty nice babies. Something to look forward to. Have decided the cutting horse world is a little too expensive for me at this time. John and I have been working hard to keep Rosenholm Dairy solvent through some pretty rough years and it just wasn’t feasible to spend so much money paying a trainer and trying to come out on the whole thing. it was fun for a while but now maybe back to some Reiners.

Had some nice rides this spring before it got buggy. The gnats are the worst I ever remember. I don’t blame the horses for wanting to stand in the shed.

Addie sold us this stocks. They found it in a shed when they purchased some property. I think it was built for elephants. It was cemented into the floor and we had to cut it off and haul it home. It worked fine after I learned some valuable lessons from a really nervous mare.
